How does the grace period for the Cashback Credit Card work?

The grace period for the Cashback Credit Card is provided for up to 2 months, where:

  • The first month is the period during which you spend funds using the approved credit limit. 
  • In the second month, you need to repay the full amount that you spent in the previous month.

Which transactions are not covered by the grace period for crediting?

The grace period for crediting does not apply to the following transactions:

  • cash withdrawals and fees for cash withdrawals,
  • cashless quasi-cash transactions,
  • fees for quasi-cash transactions,

  • cashless transfers through remote banking services.

Accordingly, the grace period for crediting applies to:     

  • payment for goods and services using the card or its details,
  • payment of bank fees, except for fees for cash withdrawals, quasi-cash transactions, and transfers.

How does the grace period work for the "120 Days to the Max" credit card?

The grace period for the "120 Days to the Max" credit card is granted for a period of 4 months, where:

  • The first three months are the period during which you spend funds using the granted credit limit. At the end of each month, a minimum payment will be generated for you, which must be paid by the last business day of the following month.
  • The fourth month is the month when you need to repay the entire remaining amount in full.

I need to send an income document to the bank, how can I do this?

Income can be confirmed with one of the following documents:

1.       A certificate of income in 2-PIT form - to obtain the certificate, you need to contact your employer and request the document from the accounting department.

2.       A certificate in the bank's form is an alternative type of income certificate. You can download the standard form using this link and submit it to the accounting department for completion.

3.       A statement from the Pension Fund - the document can be ordered through the Gosuslugi portal

It is sufficient to provide any of these documents. It is important that it contains income information for at least the last 3 months. As soon as you receive any of these certificates, send them to The bank by email at spravkapfr@uralsib.ru.

The simplest and fastest way is to send a statement from the Pension Fund immediately through the Gosuslugi service. To do this, follow the prompts: when the request has been processed, click the “Send by email” button and specify the email address spravkapfr@uralsib.ru or select the menu item “Choose a financial organization” and find Uralsib. Then you need to click the “Send” button.

Will my limit and interest rate change when switching to Bank Uralsib?

Under the new agreement, the interest rate on purchases cannot be lower than 20% per annum. If your current rate meets this requirement, it will remain unchanged. If it is lower, your purchase rate will be 20% per annum.

The interest rate for cash withdrawals, transfers, and quasi-cash transactions will be 69.9% per annum. 

The credit limit will remain unchanged and will be the same as your current Citibank card limit or will equal the total limit if you have several cards.

Why is my credit card servicing being transferred to Uralsib?

On August 25, 2022, Citibank announced the beginning of the wind-down of its retail business in Russia, and therefore it is not possible to renew your credit agreement for a new term. Can I refuse to transfer my credit card to Uralsib?

Yes, you have the right to refuse. However, exclusively for Citibank clients, Uralsib has prepared an offer that preserves the interest rate (if it is not below 20% per annum) and the credit limit. In addition, the debt owed to Citibank will be automatically refinanced using the credit limit on the card issued by Bank Uralsib. And immediately after receiving the new card, you can continue using the financial instrument you are accustomed to.

To apply for a new card, you will not need to spend time collecting certificates and visiting banks; Uralsib will carry out all the necessary steps remotely, and a courier will deliver the card to a place convenient for you. In addition, if you have outstanding debt and are not ready to switch to servicing with Uralsib, you will need to independently repay it in full within the timeframes specified in the notification from Citibank.

How will my transition from Citibank to Uralsib take place?

On the part of Citibank, you will receive an official notice of termination of the credit agreement. As part of the transition, you will be issued a new credit card with Bank Uralsib with a similar credit limit amount and an interest rate on purchases equal to your current rate on your Citibank card. If your current rate is less than 20% per annum, then under the new agreement the interest rate on purchases will be 20% per annum.

You will not need to go anywhere to collect your new card, Bank Uralsib Contact Centre staff will contact you in advance to update your details, and the card itself will be delivered to you by courier to a place convenient for you. If there is an outstanding balance on your current card, after Bank Uralsib receives the credit documents signed by you for the new card, the outstanding debt to Citibank will be refinanced. At the same time, the transfer of funds will be free of charge and will be subject to a grace period in accordance with the terms and conditions of the new credit card.

I gave consent to transfer from Citibank to Uralsib. When will Uralsib employees contact me to issue a new credit card?

As a large number of clients agree to transfer at once, it will take time to process all applications. 

If you gave your consent at the beginning of the month, you will be contacted within the same month. If the consent was provided later, Bank Uralsib will contact you in the following month.

If you have not yet expressed your willingness to transfer, your task now is to follow the link sent by Citibank in an SMS and email and provide the necessary consents. 

Next, the process will be on the side of the banks. You will receive your new card, and the debt on the Citibank card will be repaid automatically using the credit limit funds on the new Uralsib card.

Until you receive your new Uralsib card, you may use your Citibank card as usual, without any restrictions, and continue making payments to your current card.

What should I do if I used a Citibank card during the transition period and incurred debt / topped up my Citibank account

Debt refinancing may take place in two stages. 

Stage 1 - immediately after receiving the Uralsib card. 

All transactions not included in Stage 1 of refinancing will be taken into account within 40 days after activation of the Uralsib card and will be included in the refinancing calculation in Stage 2.

Refinancing will be carried out automatically; your participation will not be required. After the Citibank card is fully closed, you may repay the debt only using the Uralsib card.

When will I receive my Uralsib card?

You can receive the card within a few days after your data is updated with Bank Uralsib. You will receive a call from the courier service to arrange a date and time convenient for you to meet the courier. We recommend arranging the meeting as soon as possible after the call, as together with the card you will be given a package of documents and an application for refinancing your debt to Citibank for signature. Without these documents, Bank Uralsib will not be able to refinance your debt.

When updating your data, a representative of Bank Uralsib will уточнит the locality where the card needs to be delivered. If you are located in the territory of the Russian Federation and your location is covered by the geography of the courier service, the courier will deliver the Bank Uralsib card to a place convenient for you.

If you are located outside the country or your current location is not covered by the geography of the courier service, unfortunately, the courier will not be able to deliver the card to you, and you will not be able to sign the required set of documents. In such cases, we recommend that you independently repay your outstanding debt to Citibank within the established сроки.

How will my debt with Citibank be repaid?

How much will card servicing cost at Uralsib?

If you choose the 120 days to the maximum card, card servicing will be free forever without any additional conditions.

Servicing of the Cashback Credit Card will be free if monthly purchases amount to at least RUB 10 thousand. 

How it works: for example, you received a Cashback Credit Card in January, set its PIN code, and debt refinancing was carried out. The month in which you received the card will be free for you. In February, no fee will be charged either, and at the same time, in February you need to make purchases totaling RUB 10 thousand so that no fee is charged in March. If the free-of-charge condition is not met in February, a fee of RUB 149 will be charged in March.

What is the validity period of bonus rubles?

The validity period of bonus rubles is 12 months from the accrual date (i.e. bonus rubles that the customer has not used within 12 consecutive months after accrual are canceled).

The balance of bonus rubles in the account is reset in full if there are no transactions on the program participant's bonus account for 6 consecutive months (purchases, accrual or redemption of bonus rubles), or if the overdue amount on any of the bank's credit products exceeds 30 days. The accrual of bonus rubles will be resumed only in the month following the month of full repayment of the overdue debt.

After the PIN is set, the limit will be credited.

What is the grace period?

How to get cashback?

You can get money back for a purchase in the amount from ₽1,500 to ₽50,000 for the previous calendar month. Only the full transaction amount can be reimbursed; partial reimbursement is not available.

1.    Go to the "Purchase Reimbursement" section, which displays the full list of purchases eligible for reimbursement. Purchases marked in grey cannot be reimbursed — the reason is indicated in grey font.

2. In the filter, select "Available for reimbursement".

3. Click the green icon in the row of the selected purchase.

4. Confirm the purchase reimbursement.

5. The money in the amount of the transaction will be credited to the card account on the next business day.
