I ordered a card. What next?
  1. Wait for a call
    Our representative will contact you shortly to agree on the delivery date and time. Please stay available. You will also receive an SMS with a link to the courier service personal account, where you can independently manage the delivery date, time, and address.
  2. Receive the card and sign the documents
    We will deliver the card at a convenient place and time for you. Sign the documents. You may be asked to sign them on paper or electronically in the Uralsib app or on the website of our partner efr.ru. *
    At the meeting, you will need your passport and a photo of yourself holding it — this will confirm that you are the one receiving the card. The envelope with the card has a QR code which you can use to get detailed information on card use and app installation on the Bank website.
  3. Download the app or sign in to your personal account
    Manage your finances quickly and easily. To do this, connect Uralsib Online via the link and follow the instructions. Or use the QR code indicated on the card envelope.

    Important:
    — Install the app only from official sources.
    — For quick sign-in, save the password in your browser or password manager.
  4. Wait for the card to be activated
    First, you need to wait for an SMS confirming card activation within a few hours. Then set the PIN code and use the card.

    * After the agreement is concluded, you will receive a notification from NKO AO National Settlement Depository (NSD). This is a requirement of Federal Law No. 211-FZ dated July 20, 2020. In the document, the agreement is called a “financial transaction” and is executed on the EFR website.

How do I set a PIN code for a credit card?

Wait for an SMS from The bank about the need to set a PIN code for your card.

You can set the PIN code in two ways:

  •  After registering at online.uralsib.ru or in The bank's mobile app, tap your card on the home screen, then select the “About the card” menu item, then tap “Change PIN code”.

The card can be ordered with free courier delivery to a location convenient for you. To do this, fill out the card application and select the delivery address.

What is a digital card and how can I get one?

How to use a credit card?

What is the statement period and billing date?

The statement period is 1 calendar month during which you made card purchases. At the end of the period, on the billing date, a statement of your payments is generated — when and how much you spent.

The billing date is the date when the statement is generated, which includes all your purchases for the previous month (the statement period). On the billing date, the mandatory minimum payment is billed. You then have another 1 month to make the minimum payment.

The payment period is the period for paying the minimum payment. It is 1 calendar month following the statement period. The last day of the payment period falls on the last business day of the month.

What is the minimum payment?

A credit card is a form of credit, but instead of a standard payment schedule, you have a mandatory minimum payment, the amount of which depends on the debt amount and whether interest is charged on transactions.  

You do not need to calculate the amount of the mandatory credit card payment yourself — the bank does this automatically. You can find out the amount and the payment due date in the app or the web version of Uralsib Online.

What is a credit limit?

Credit limit is the amount within which the bank is willing to provide you with credit. A credit limit is provided to pay for goods or services, withdraw cash, as well as make card-to-card money transfers.

A credit limit is revolving, which means that after you have repaid some amount to the bank, you can borrow it again from the bank.

What is the interest-free period and what are the terms?

How does the grace period work?
  1. Make regular purchases with your card during the month. The grace period applies to purchase payments. There are exceptions.
  2. Pay for them by the end of the following month by topping up your card free of charge.If the debt is repaid in full, no interest will be charged on the credit.

It is not necessary to repay the debt in full; you may make only a 3% payment, with a minimum of RUB 300. In this case, the grace period will be canceled.

How is interest accrued?

If it is inconvenient for you to repay the entire amount of card debt at once, you may make only the minimum payment. In this case, interest will be accrued on the transactions made.

For each calendar month, an Account statement is generated for the credit card, indicating the amount and due date of the minimum payment, as well as the total amount of debt as of the statement date and the period for its interest-free repayment. 

If you repay the debt only with minimum payments, The bank will accrue interest not only on non-grace transactions, but also on grace transactions, starting from the day following the purchase date and up to and including the date of full debt repayment. 

If you fully repay the total amount of debt within the specified period, no interest is accrued on the amount of grace transactions. Thus, you receive an interest-free loan for up to 62 days –  this is very convenient for everyday payments.

How does the grace period work for the "Cashback" credit card?

The interest-free period for the "Cashback" credit card is 2 months, where:

  • The first month —  you spend money from the available credit limit. In simple terms, you pay for your usual purchases with the credit card.
  • The second month — you repay the full amount that you spent in the previous month.

At the same time, in the second month you can continue using the credit card. These expenses will need to be repaid in the following — third month, and so on.

The payment amount and due date are always available in the app or the web version of Uralsib Online.

Example: On January 1, you used the "Cashback" credit card for the first time and paid for a purchase in a store in the amount of 10 000 rubles. To avoid interest being charged on the purchase, you must return this amount to the account in full by the end of February. 

If you are not ready to repay the debt in full, you can make a minimum payment — 3% of the outstanding debt, at least 300 rubles. In this case, the grace period will be terminated, and interest will be charged on the transactions.

Which transactions are not covered by the grace period?

The grace period does not apply to:  

  • cash withdrawals and cash withdrawal fees 
  • card transfers and transfer fees
  • cashless quasi-cash transactions and fees for them
  • transactions according to the list
  • cashless transfers via remote banking services.

Accordingly, the grace period applies to:  

  • payment for goods and services using the card or its details
  • payment of bank fees, except for cash withdrawal fees, quasi-cash transactions and transfers.

The interest-free credit period terms do not apply to:

  • cash withdrawals
  • transfers between bank cards
  • quasi-cash transactions

What are quasi-cash transactions?

Quasi-cash transactions are transactions involving highly liquid assets, i.e. transactions that are directly converted into cash.

For example, transfers to deposit accounts in other banks, the purchase of casino chips and traveler's checks, top-ups of e-wallets, etc. The list of MCC codes for quasi-cash transactions can be found here.

How to repay credit card debt?

When there is no credit card debt, it is not necessary to deposit money into the account. If debt arises, choose the payment option that suits you best: 

  • Repay the full amount owed to the bank in a single payment. This can be done both during the interest-free (grace) period and after it. In any case, with this repayment method, interest charges will be minimal.
  • Repayment in arbitrary amounts, but exceeding the minimum payment. With this method, it is important to remember that if you do not repay the full amount in full during the grace period, interest will be charged. 
  • Repayment by the minimum payment. With this option, interest expenses will be the highest.

What is the interest-free (grace) period on a credit card?

The interest-free or grace lending period (from the English term grace period) is the period during which the bank does not charge interest on card purchases. 

The interest-free period starts with the first cashless debit transaction of the month to which its terms apply. Its term for the “120 Days to the Max” credit card is up to 120 days. 

The grace period does not apply to debt arising from transactions such as cash withdrawals from a card or account, transfers, and quasi-cash transactions.

What is the Total Cost of Credit?

The Total Cost of Credit is a calculated indicator introduced by the Central Bank to establish a unified approach for comparing credit products of different banks. This indicator is not the overpayment amount; in practice, a client may use the card completely without interest by using the grace period.

In what order is credit card debt repaid?

Debt repayment for agreements concluded on October 18, 2021 is carried out in the following order:

  1. interest on the principal debt, including technical debt, if any;
  2. principal debt – first arising from purchases, then cash withdrawals, transfers, and quasi-cash transactions;
  3. late payment penalty, if any.

Example: on January 1, you withdrew 10 000 ₽ from your credit card via an ATM, and on January 20, you paid for a purchase in a store for 5000 ₽. 

When you deposit money to the card, the interest on the cash withdrawal will be charged off first. From the remaining amount, the debt for the store purchase will be repaid. The debt for the cash withdrawal from the ATM will be repaid last.

Tip: There are transactions to which the interest-free lending period does not apply. If you want to minimize interest expenses, do not delay repaying the debt for such transactions.

How is cashback accrued?

How can I use the accumulated bonus rubles?

There are three ways to spend bonus rubles:

  • receive cashback in the amount of one of the purchases made earlier, that is, compensate a purchase with bonus rubles
  • use bonus rubles for partial or full payment of rail and air tickets, hotel booking, or car rental in the "Travel for Bonuses" section
  • exchange bonus rubles for RZHD Bonus points — they can be used to purchase rail tickets or improve the comfort of your journey

How to get cashback?

On the main screen of your personal account, in the section “Choose what to spend bonus rubles on,” several options are available.

Purchase compensation.

You can get money back for a purchase in the amount of 1,500 to 50,000 ₽ for the previous calendar month. Only the full transaction amount can be compensated; partial compensation is not available.

1.    Go to the “Purchase Compensation” section, which displays the full list of purchases eligible for compensation. Purchases marked in gray cannot be compensated—the reason is indicated in gray font.

2. In the filter, select “Available for compensation”.

3. Click the green icon in the row of the selected purchase.

4. Confirm the purchase compensation.

5. The money in the amount of the transaction will be credited to the card account on the next business day. 1 bonus ruble = 1 ₽.

Travel.

Use bonus rubles for full or partial payment for rail and air tickets, hotel bookings, or car rental.

1. Go to the “Travel” section.

2. Select a ticket, hotel, or rental car.

3. Fill in all required fields.

4. At the payment stage, indicate that you want to use bonus rubles (select the checkbox).

5. Complete the payment and place the order. 1 bonus ruble = 1 ₽.

 Exchange for "RZHD Bonus" points.

Convert bonus rubles into “RZHD Bonus” points—they can then be used for purchasing rail tickets or upgrading the comfort of your trip.

To do this, you need to:

1. In your loyalty personal account, go to the “Partner Bonuses” section.

2. Enter the “RZHD Bonus” account number. Bonus rubles can be transferred both to your own account and to the account of a relative or friend.

3. Enter the amount of bonus rubles to exchange (minimum 150 bonus rubles; the amount of bonus rubles must be a multiple of 1.5, for example: 150, 225, 300).

4. Confirm the transaction

The points will be credited to the “RZHD Bonus” account within 10 business days

Exchange rate: 1.5 bonus rubles = 1 “RZHD Bonus” point.

How to repay debt?

How to repay credit card debt to use the interest-free credit period?

To use the interest-free credit period for grace transactions, you must, before the end of the interest-free credit period specified in the statement, pay the entire amount due indicated in your statement, not just the minimum payment.  When repaying the debt, please take into account the time required for funds to be credited to the account depending on the selected repayment method.

Can I deposit an amount greater than the outstanding debt?

Yes, you can. In this case, the funds credited to the credit card account increase the available balance on the card. However, in this case, the bank recommends monitoring the use of available funds more carefully in order to avoid exceeding the available credit limit.

How can I find out the payment due date for debt repayment?

The payment due date for debt repayment is the last business day of the payment period (corresponding to the last business day of the calendar month), when funds to repay the debt must be CREDITED to your card account (the date funds are credited may not coincide with the deposit date — please be careful! This depends on the method of depositing funds — the funds may be credited on the same day or may take several days). The payment due date for debt repayment is indicated in your credit card statement, mobile app, or the web version of Uralsib Online.

Why do you need a chip card? What is the difference?

A chip (microprocessor) is an additional security feature. The card data stored on the chip cannot currently be copied.

Thus, chip cards, compared to cards with a magnetic stripe, provide a higher level of security for payments made with the physical presentation of the card.

What should you do to avoid fraudulent transactions?

All Uralsib cards are connected to 3-D Secure technology. This is a special protocol designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized transactions on the Internet, based on cardholder identification technology when making payment transactions via the Internet and aimed at improving the security of such payments by entering a secret password.

However, unfortunately, not all websites support payments using 3-D Secure technology, so when making a purchase / payment on the Internet, it is especially important to keep the following points in mind:

  • Pay for purchases only in online stores that inspire confidence and have a good reputation. Do not risk the security of your card for the sake of a transaction on questionable websites.
  • If you actively use your card to pay on websites, it is important to remember the security of the computer from which the payment is made. Make sure that your computer is not infected with any viruses. Use antivirus software and try to keep it updated regularly. Do not make online payments using public-access computers (internet cafes, etc.).

What if there is no terminal in the store for reading the chip, will it be possible to complete the transaction?

The card has both a chip and a magnetic stripe. Completing the transaction using the chip will take priority. If the merchant or ATM is unable to complete the transaction using the chip, the magnetic stripe will be used.

What should I do if my card is lost?

Immediately report this to the bank by calling:

  • 8 (800) 250-57-57 (within Russia)
  • +7 (495) 723-77-21, +7 (495) 723-78-21 (Moscow),
  • +7 (347) 2-519-519 (Ufa).

Inform the operator that the card has been lost and, if possible, provide its number and expiration date. The card will be blocked immediately after your call.

Please try to contact us at the same moment you discover the card is missing. In the event of a delayed request, The bank shall not be liable for card transactions made without your knowledge.

After the card is blocked, it can no longer be used, and you will need to contact the bank branch where you submitted the application form to open the card account and issue the card in order to have a new card issued to replace the lost one.

How quickly are bonus rubles credited to the account?

Bonus rubles are credited monthly on the 10th day of the month following the month of spending.

Bonus rubles for assets for holders of Premium banking service packages are credited as a separate amount on the 26th day of the month following the month of spending.

cashback for purchases from partners in the "Online Partners" section of the loyalty account is credited upon confirmation by the partner, on average 45 days after the purchase is made.

In the mobile app or Uralsib Online, on the main screen there is a button labeled: "Uralsib Bonus" or with the Bank Uralsib logo and the Bonus Rubles balance (by clicking it, you will go to the Uralsib Bonus personal account)

In your personal account, you will be able to view your accrued bonus rubles, the latest credits to your bonus account, transaction history, redeem purchases, exchange bonus rubles for travel bonuses or RZHD points, as well as make purchases with cashback of up to 30% in the stores and services presented in the "Online Partners" section.

How do I get cashback?

You can get money back for a purchase in the amount of ₽1,500 to ₽50,000 for the previous calendar month. Only the full transaction amount can be reimbursed; partial reimbursement is not available.

What is the validity period of bonus rubles?

The validity period of bonus rubles is 12 months from the date of accrual (i.e. bonus rubles that the client has not used within 12 consecutive months after accrual expire). 

The remaining balance of bonus rubles in the account is reset in full if there have been neither accrual nor redemption transactions on the bonus account for 6 consecutive months. 

If the overdue period for any credit products exceeds 30 days, the bonus ruble balance is reset in full. Accrual of bonus rubles will be resumed only in the month following the month of full repayment of the overdue debt.
