Can I apply for a credit card?

Any citizen of Russia aged 20 to 75 with permanent registration in the Russian Federation may apply for a credit card.

Length of service at the most recent place of employment is also important: at least 3 months inclusive, and income of at least RUB 10,000 for Moscow and RUB 7,000 for other regions. 

A passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation is sufficient to submit an application.

What is the difference between a credit card and a loan?

A personal loan and a credit card are similar in that the bank approves a certain amount for the customer, which they can spend, for example, on purchases.  

The main advantage of a credit card is the interest-free (grace) period, during which you can use the bank's money within the credit limit and pay no interest on it. For a personal loan, interest accrues from the first day the funds are used.  

Another difference is that, for a credit card, payments made restore the credit limit, and these funds become available for use again. For a personal loan, payments only reduce the amount of debt, and the loan agreement has a limited term.

How to close a credit card properly?

To close a credit card, it is not enough to simply block the plastic card. To do this, you need to visit the nearest bank branch and submit an application to close the credit agreement. After that, the credit limit will be reset to zero, and the card will need to be returned to the bank. At the same time, you will need to fully repay the outstanding debt amount together with interest, if it has been accrued.

The credit card account will be closed 45 days after submitting the application for termination of the credit agreement. After this period expires, you can request a certificate of loan closure from the bank.

How to check your credit history?

Credit history is the most important factor when making a decision on granting a loan. 

Credit history is a record that contains all of the Borrower's credit operations: which banks issued loans or credit cards, the amount of debt, and whether the client pays their obligations on time. The history is stored in special organizations — credit history bureaus (BKI).  

Through the Gosuslugi portal, you can view the list of organizations that store the history of your borrowings, and this list can be viewed online free of charge. You can also use this report to check whether any loans have been issued in your name. 

To find out your credit history, you need to: 

  1. Verify your Gosuslugi portal account 
  2. Submit an application for the electronic service 
  3. Wait until the list of organizations appears in your personal account. There will be a table with the addresses, names, and phone numbers of the bureaus.

How to get cashback up to 30%?

1.  On the main page of the Uralsib Bonus personal account, select the “Online Partners” section.

2. In the “Online Partners” section, select a store and open the partner’s profile to review the terms and conditions.

3. Carefully review the terms and conditions for receiving the reward. Different cashback rates may apply for new and existing store customers, and restrictions may also be established, for example, on the minimum / maximum purchase amount or on the total reward payout amount.

4. Go to the store using the link from the store profile by clicking the “Go to store” button. Please review the Rules for making purchases via the link posted below the “Go to store” button in advance.

5. Place an order and pay for the purchase with any card issued by Bank Uralsib.

On the main screen of the personal account, in the section “Choose what to spend bonus rubles on,” several options are available.

Purchase compensation.

You can get a refund for a purchase in the amount of 1,500 to 50,000 ₽ for the previous calendar month. Only the full amount of the transaction can be compensated; partial compensation is not available.

1.    Go to the “Purchase Compensation” section, which displays the full list of purchases that meet the compensation terms. Purchases marked in gray cannot be compensated – the reason is indicated in gray font.

2. In the filter, select “Available for compensation”.

3. Click the green icon in the row of the selected purchase.

4. Confirm the purchase compensation.

5. The amount of the transaction will be credited to the card account on the next business day. 1 bonus ruble = 1 ₽

Travel.

Use bonus rubles for full or partial payment of rail and air tickets, hotel booking, or car rental.

1. Go to the “Travel” section.

2. Select a ticket, hotel, or rental car.

3. Fill in all required fields.

4. At the payment stage, indicate that you want to use bonus rubles, (by selecting the checkbox).

5. Complete the payment and place the order. 1 bonus ruble = 1 ₽

 Exchange for “RZHD Bonus” points.

Transfer bonus rubles into “RZHD Bonus” points – they can then be used for the purchase of rail tickets or to improve the comfort of your journey.

To do this, you need to:

1. In the loyalty personal account, go to the “Partner Bonuses” section.

2. Specify the “RZHD Bonus” account number. Bonus rubles can be transferred both to your own account and to the account of your relative or friend.

3. Enter the amount of bonus rubles for exchange (minimum 150 bonus rubles; the amount of bonus rubles must be a multiple of 1.5, for example: 150, 225, 300).

Exchange rate: 1.5 bonus rubles = 1 “RZHD Bonus” point.

4. Confirm the transaction

What is the difference between a credit card and a debit card?
