The credit limit is the amount within which the bank is prepared to provide you with credit. The credit limit is provided for the payment of goods or services, cash withdrawal, as well as money transfers from card to card.

The credit limit is revolving — this means that after you have repaid the bank a certain amount, it can again be borrowed from the bank on credit.
