How is a credit card different from a debit card?

The similarity between a credit card and a debit card is that they can be used to pay for purchases, including online in online stores, make card-to-card transfers, between your own accounts and beyond, withdraw cash.

A credit card differs from a debit card in that it allows you to use the bank's money, while a debit card only allows you to use your own funds. A credit card also has an interest-free (grace) period during which you use the bank's money and do not pay interest for it.

At the same time, a credit card cannot be used as a payroll card and, unlike a debit card, it cannot be linked to a loan or mortgage account as a more convenient way to pay for the loan.

Visually, plastic cards differ not only in design, but also in the presence of the words DEBIT and CREDIT on the front side, respectively.
