In what order will card debt be repaid?

 Order of repayment of debt on the Light credit card:

- payment of interest for the use of credit on the principal debt, including technical debt, if any;

- payment of outstanding principal debt – first, that arising from purchases, then cash withdrawals, transfers, and quasi-cash transactions;

- payment of late payment penalties, if any.

Please note that the card servicing fee is charged from the credit limit if there are sufficient funds. If the available credit limit is insufficient, the accrued fee will be included in the debt, which must be paid immediately as soon as funds become available in an amount sufficient for its full repayment. 

For example, a customer received a card on March 15 with a limit of RUB 20 thousand. On March 25, the customer withdrew cash from an ATM in the amount of RUB 20 thousand and made no further debit or credit transactions on the card. For payment in April, the minimum payment will be calculated in the amount of RUB 2 thousand (10% of the outstanding debt) + RUB 3.29 (interest for cash withdrawal for March).

The card servicing fee for March was calculated in the amount of  RUB 354.

On April 10, the customer paid in RUB 1,000.

Repayment order:

1. Interest in the amount of RUB 3.29 is repaid

2. Principal debt in the amount of RUB 996.71 is repaid. At the same time, the credit limit is restored by RUB 996.71, and from it the card servicing fee for March in the amount of RUB 354 is repaid.
