The application for deposit insurance compensation payment (including bank details for the payment in the form established by the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA)) is completed by bank employees.
Payment of insurance compensation is made in rubles. If a deposit is placed in foreign currency, the amount of compensation is calculated in rubles at the exchange rate set by the Bank of Russia on the day the insured event occurs.
What should you do if the bank’s obligations to the depositor exceed the maximum amount of insurance compensation — 1 400 000 rubles?
Depositors who, after receiving insurance compensation, still have an outstanding part of the deposit exceeding the maximum amount of insurance compensation, may submit a creditor’s claim to the bank in order to receive the remaining deposit amount during the bank’s bankruptcy proceedings (liquidation).
For this, the depositor (except for the categories of depositors listed below) only needs to complete in the compensation payment application the section on including the bank’s obligations in the register of creditors’ claims.
The following categories of applicants are an exception:
Submission of claims by these categories of applicants is carried out in accordance with the procedure provided for by Federal Law No. 127-FZ.
