Acquiring is a banking service that helps accept cashless payments through a terminal using bank cards, smartphones with Mir Pay, and other devices. After payment, the funds are transferred to the acquiring bank, which then remits them to the current account of an individual entrepreneur or company.
There are two main types of acquiring:
Merchant acquiring. Allows you to accept payments through a terminal.
Internet acquiring. Used for online payments on a website or through other digital channels.
What equipment is required for merchant acquiring?
To accept payments, the bank provides a terminal. A business can choose stationary or portable equipment depending on its operating format.
The devices support payment by bank cards, smartphones with Mir Pay, and via QR code. The bank’s specialists connect and configure the equipment free of charge. This usually takes up to 3 business days.
What are the settlement timeframes for merchant acquiring?
The timeframe depends on the bank where the current account is opened. If the account was opened with Uralsib, the funds are credited on the same day when the "Scheduled Credit" service is connected, or on the next calendar day without this option.
If the account is opened with another bank, the funds are credited during the next business day.
If the equipment is not working or there are difficulties processing payments, contact the bank's technical support or your manager.
Specialists will help устранить неисправность and, if necessary, replace the terminal. You can contact support by phone and online; most issues are resolved on the day of the request.
