The agent bank pays clients of QIWI Bank only funds subject to insurance.
Since February 29, 2024, the state corporation “Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA)” (Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA)) has been paying depositors of QIWI Bank JSC insurance compensation for the bank’s obligations that are subject to insurance.
The bank’s insured obligations include balances in current, settlement and deposit bank accounts of all individuals, individual entrepreneurs and certain legal entities (small enterprises and socially oriented non-profit organizations of certain legal forms) within the limit of RUB 1.4 million.
Applications for insurance compensation payments are accepted by PJSC “BANK URALSIB”, acting on behalf of the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) and at its expense as the agent bank.
Please note that funds intended for sending/receiving transfers without opening an account (through QIWI Wallets, via the CONTACT system), as well as funds in the accounts of other legal entities (not classified as small enterprises and socially oriented non-profit organizations) are not subject to insurance, and no insurance compensation is paid for them.
Applications for the return of uninsured funds are not accepted or reviewed by the agent bank PJSC “BANK URALSIB”.
