Can cash funds, for example alimony, be deposited into a Nominal Account?
Cash deposits to a Nominal Account are not available. Alimony intended for the beneficiary may be transferred to a Nominal Account from a bank card or another account (other than a Nominal Account).
Are Nominal Accounts for crediting social benefit payments at The bank insured? For what amount?
Nominal Accounts for crediting social benefit payments have been included in the deposit insurance system since 01.01.2015. Compensation for nominal accounts at a bank in respect of which an insured event has occurred shall be paid to the depositor in the amount of 100 percent of the total deposits with the bank, but not more than 1,400,000 rubles.
If a depositor had several deposits opened with one bank, insurance compensation shall be paid for each deposit in proportion to their amounts, but not more than 1,400,000 rubles
Can a standing order for periodic transfer of funds be arranged for a Nominal Account
The holder of a nominal account may arrange with The bank a standing order to transfer funds to another account/deposit/bank card account opened in their own name, or to an account opened in the name of third parties
Can a power of attorney be issued for transactions on the Nominal Account for crediting social benefits?
For the Nominal Account, the Account Holder may issue a power of attorney to manage the funds held in the Nominal Account, both at the Bank and through a notary.
Can one Nominal Account be opened to credit social benefits for several wards at once?
A Nominal Account is opened by a parent/guardian/custodian to credit funds paid to them for the maintenance of the ward, who is the beneficiary under the nominal account. To transfer funds for the maintenance of several wards, a separate nominal account must be opened for each of them.
The account is credited with social payments specified in Article 37 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation: alimony amounts, pensions, benefits, compensation for damage to health and damage incurred in the event of the death of a breadwinner, as well as other funds paid for the maintenance of minors / incapacitated / partially incapacitated citizens who are Beneficiaries under the nominal account.
