Cash withdrawals from accounts opened in foreign currency

From March 9, 2022 to September 9, 2025 (the period may be extended), Bank of Russia restrictions apply to cash withdrawals of foreign currency from accounts (including current, savings, card accounts and deposits).

1. Foreign currency placed in accounts before 09.03.2022:

    - no more than USD 10,000 or its equivalent in euros at the Bank of Russia exchange rate on the day of withdrawal may be received. Any amount above USD 10,000 may be received in rubles at the Bank of Russia exchange rate on the day of withdrawal.

2. Foreign currency credited to accounts from 09.03.2022 may be received only in rubles:

   - if foreign currency was placed in accounts during the period from 09.03.2022 to 09.09.2022, funds may be received in rubles at the Bank of Russia exchange rate on the day of withdrawal;

- foreign currency credited to accounts from 09.09.2022 may be received in rubles at the bank's exchange rate on the day of withdrawal.
