What is acquiring?

Acquiring is the ability to make payments by any cashless method: with debit and credit cards, through the Mir Pay app on mobile phones or wearable devices linked to them.

The current account of a trading company is serviced using a payment terminal. After payment for goods or services, the funds are transferred to the acquiring bank and then to the seller's account.

There are two types of acquiring:

• Merchant acquiring. Allows cashless card payments through payment terminals at the checkout or with a courier.
• Online acquiring. Allows accepting payment for goods and services online on the company's website.
