What does the merchant acquiring fee for pickup points depend on?

The fee is determined based on the volume of financial turnover, the number of retail outlets, and the business sector.

The fee includes:

  • interchange fee (IRF);
  • payment system fees for card usage;
  • processing services;
  • terminal maintenance costs;
  • other expenses.

The largest share is IRF, the interchange fee that the acquiring bank transfers to the bank that issued the card. Its amount depends on:

  • card category: the higher the card class (standard, gold, platinum), the higher the fee;
  • business type (MCC): each industry has its own tariffs;
  • payment method: transactions using a magnetic stripe are more expensive than contactless payments.
