What does the merchant acquiring fee for an LLC depend on?

The acquiring fee is determined individually and depends on a number of factors: the volume of cashless payments, the number of connected points of sale, and the company's line of business.

The fee includes:

  • interbank fee (IRF);
  • payment system usage fee;
  • processing services;
  • terminal maintenance;
  • other possible expenses.

The main component of the fee is the interbank fee. The acquiring bank transfers it to the bank that issued the card. Its amount is affected by:

  • card type: the higher the status, the higher the fee;
  • merchant category code (MCC): different rates apply to different types of business;
  • payment method: contactless transactions are less expensive than processing payments via the magnetic stripe.
