What is acquiring?

Acquiring is a banking service that allows businesses to accept cashless payments from customers. They can make donations using bank cards or smartphones via Mir Pay.

When paying via a terminal, the customer's funds are first credited to the acquiring bank and then transferred to the organization's current account.

There are two main types of acquiring:

• Merchant acquiring — card payment via a terminal at the office or with an NGO representative.
• Internet acquiring — acceptance of online payments on the organization's website.
